The short version

Email support@cattlescale.app and a person will answer, usually within two business days.

There are no accounts and no password to lose. If something went wrong with a purchase, read section 3 first — the app will normally sort it out on its own.

1. How to get help

Email support@cattlescale.app. CattleScale is made by Origae (ABN 21 237 258 402), a sole trader in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

It helps to say what device you are on, what you were doing, and — if it is about a reading — roughly when you took the photographs. There are no accounts, so there is no username to quote and nothing for us to look you up by.

2. What it costs

Part of the assessment is free: the breed, the photo check and the reasons the reading is not full marks arrive without paying anything. The weight, the measurements, and the body condition, frame, muscling and fat depth scores unlock together.

The price shown on the button is the price the App Store will charge in your own currency — we never print a figure Apple did not give us. Buying again is how you do the next beast; there is no subscription and nothing renews.

3. A purchase did not unlock the weight

Open the app again. Any purchase the App Store took payment for but the app never handed over is picked up automatically at start-up and turned into a credit, so your next unlock costs nothing. You do not need to do anything, and you must not be charged twice.

If the app said something like “your purchase went through — we couldn’t check it just now”, that is the honest version of a temporary fault at our end. The money is not lost and the purchase is not spent. Try again in a few minutes, and email us if it is still stuck an hour later.

Never buy a second time to fix a first purchase that did not appear. It is not how the app recovers, and it is the one way to end up genuinely out of pocket.

4. Refunds

Purchases are handled entirely by Apple, so refunds are too. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple Account that made the purchase. We cannot issue a refund ourselves and we never see your payment details.

5. The weight looks wrong

It is an estimate read off photographs, not a weigh scale, and the app says how confident it is and why. The range matters more than the single number: the true weight is very likely somewhere inside it, and a beast that reads high or low usually does so for a reason the assessment already named.

The single biggest improvement you can make is putting something of known size in the frame — a gate, a rail, a person standing beside the animal. Without one, the measurements rest on breed averages, and the app will tell you so.

If you have weighed the animal on real scales, the app can take that figure. Those comparisons are what the estimate is tuned against, and they are the most useful thing anyone can send us.

6. Photographs and privacy

Your photographs are sent to an AI provider to be read and are deleted as soon as the reading is done. There are no accounts, so there is no profile to delete and nothing that identifies you. The full detail is in the privacy policy, and the terms govern use of the app.
